One of the really well thought out places in Phnom Penh. The Alchemy GastroPub is a place that wouldn’t feel out of place in any of the major cities of the world. Offering a large variety of Cambodian Craft Beers, live music night from any genre, and supposedly really good food. They’re located next to the Russian Market, so the location is very good indeed.

This month alone, Oscar’s On The Corner has featured popular artists from Phnom Penh, like Moi Tiet and Sangvar Day. At this venue, you can find live music almost every night, and a very attentive staff that will serve you some cold beers. You’ll find Oscar’s On The Corner at 104th street, a popular nightlife area in Phnom Penh.

Not too far from Alchemy GastroPub you can find this pearl. It’s probably the coolest one of the bunch, but save the best for last right? Most days of the week you’ll find live music at Good Times Bar. With genres ranging from Indie Rock to Reggae music, there’s something for everyone. If you’re looking for an open-mic night in Phnom Penh, then this is the place to be. They host open-mic nights every Monday, and local Cambodian beers start from $1.50 for a can.

There’s plenty of cool artists in Phnom Penh, but the venues hosting shows seem to come and go. With the city’s rapid expansion we definitely hope to see some more live music in Phnom Penh in the near future.
