This will be a very short article, it’s 18:30 on Saturday night an I just realised there’s a ton of stuff going on in the Phnom Penh nightlife tonight. That’s why I’m going to make a short list of the different events happening this evening.
I Don’t Belong Here by Homeless / Bong The Gallery Opening party
The Bong Gallery is celebrating its reopening with pieces from the art collective Homeless. At this event, you can sip on some free craft beers from Kingdom Breweries while watching the artworks of talented artists like Shanghai Chang, KWN23 and SIN MANY. Kenny Chase and Premo Sounds will be entertaining the dance crowd with their groovy beats.
Samai Distillery Takeover at Fizz
Phnom Penh artisanal Rum distillers Samai Distillery are making a guest visit at popular nightlife spot Fizz. With a guest bartender, who most likely is Samai Distillery’s brand ambassador Sola, you’re definitely going to be served some of Phnom Penh’s best cocktails at this event.
The 99 Boyz at Duplex
And now to the live music part of the evening. Duplex regulars The 99 Boyz are playing their party set 21:00 until late. If you haven’t seen this band before you might recognize some of them from the popular Phnom Penh band Hypnotic Fist Technique.
Frankie Teardrop Dead at LF Social Club
If you instead want some purely original music then head over to LF Social Club close to Bassac Lane. Psych band Frankie Teardrop Dead are starting around 21:00 and are sure to blow your mind with their eclectic music style that’s mixing Neo-Psychedelia, Shoegaze, Dreampop and Post-Punk in a fun and interesting way.
